A thriving city with a business-friendly, booming economy (and a famous music scene)
Nashville is Tennessee’s capital and the state’s largest and most populous city. Founded in 1779, this historic city has enjoyed a booming economy in the 21st century as a major center of automotive, finance, health care, publishing, and other industries. A 2017 survey recognized Nashville as having the third-fastest growing economy in the country. GQ, Forbes, and The New York Times have dubbed Nashville “Nowville” and “It City” to reflect the boom. Nashville is also famous for being the capital city of country music, a heritage celebrated in its many music venues, museums, and festivals.
Nashville luxury real estate offers a diverse array of high-end housing options: Gentleman’s farms and ranches, contemporary architectural masterpieces, mansions on sprawling estates, and spacious single-family homes. Each neighborhood has its own distinct character, from the stately Southern historic homes and quiet neighborhood avenues of Belle Meade, to the large lawns and sprawling ranch style homes in West Meade there is much to choose from. If you’re looking for a hilltop retreat, we have so many options in Nashville! From the family-friendly neighborhoods of Green Hills, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, to the hillside estate homes around the Radnor Lake area.

Shopping and dining hub
Many Fortune 500 companies maintain offices within Nashville, and the city has ranked in the top five on lists such as Forbes’ best places for businesses, careers, and white-collar jobs. Two recent corporate relo highlights: Amazon chose Nashville for their next hub, and in 2018 Alliance Bernstein relocated their North American headquarters to Nashville from New York. Nashville is also a hub of higher education and is sometimes called the “Athens of the South” for its many universities such as Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, and Fisk University. Dynamic and diverse, Nashville is an exciting city with a lower cost of living than most other cities with a similarly robust economy.
Downtown Nashville is the main center of entertainment and commerce. The city’s famous “honky tonks” are located along 2nd Avenue and Lower Broadway. Adjacent areas, such as the trendy Gulch, offer numerous places to dine, shop, and drink. Try Sunda, Adele’s, The 404 Kitchen, or the new STK located in the Terrazzo condominium building. Further down 12th Ave South on the other side of Broadway is Chauhan Ale and Masala near the new Amazon headquarters (currently under construction). With so many great boutiques in the Gulch, shopping is pure pleasure. SoBro (South of Broadway) also offers great restaurants such as The Southern, The Green Pheasant, Etch, Bakersfield, Husk, Pinewood Social and more. Germantown is one of Nashville’s oldest neighborhoods and has some of the city’s best restaurants. Try the fresh seasonal fare at Rolf & Daughters, delicious Italian cuisine at City House, and the creative twists on classic dishes at Germantown Café.
Along with live music every night of the week at the downtown honky tonks, regular concerts are held at the larger venues of Bridgestone Arena (also home to our beloved Nashville Predators Hockey team) and Ryman Auditorium. The Grand Ole Opry House is Nashville’s most iconic musical experience, showcasing live performances from country music stars since the 1920s. Concerts are also held at Nissan Stadium, home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. Nashville’s impressive entertainment options have earned it the nickname “Nashvegas,” but there are plenty of tranquil spots to enjoy a quiet afternoon, including the waterfront green spaces of Riverfront Park and Cumberland Park. Visitors flock to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Johnny Cash Museum to view exhibits on the city’s incomparable musical heritage. Or take in a world class art exhibit at the Frist Museum or the newly completed Tennessee State Museum now located in Germantown.
